In my Surface Design class, I explored the fundamentals of creating original textile patterns using hand-painted gouache motifs. I learned how to develop tossed layout patterns and manipulate hue and saturation to create A Cohesive collection exploring different color ways. We also focused on the technical and creative process of integrating these patterns into fashion illustrations.
